    Hey players and pimpettes,

Just hit 200k on trucko and am slowly prepping for a helluv a swap. I'll make my 5VZ-FE run as long as I can (hopefully at least to 300k), but when she goes? Its time to get to swappin. Long story short, I know it'll be expensive, I know it'll take time, but I'm wiling to sell my soul to have a diesel and get better MPG/idle consumption/range. Plus turbo noises. Oh and I know I'm going to run into problems, lots of em. I'm not too worried about the mechanics of things (the wiring will be a different story). I have full access to a machine shop, I can MIG, TIG, and braze, along with some good enough CAD skills. I've got a real long term plan for this truck (working on a custom rear bumper along with a 1/4 bed storage system that acts as a step for the wildernest) and as it was body off frame repainted and rustproofed in 2014, it's just clean as a whistle underneath.

I seem to have worked my way down to two sides. Either swap in an imported 1KZ-TE or a 1KD-FTV (japan probably, I've got a friend over there) or a cummins 2.8l.

Forgot to mention that there is the possibility of finding a rusted out Hilux from Canada and using it as a donor vehicle (got this idea from a guy who swaps LCs). Maybe not a terrible idea? Depends on the pricing of everything I guess.

Takes? Ideas? What would you do? Am I an idiot? Do you wish your father said he was proud of you? Will my R150F shoot itself to the moon? Who knows! Photo attached because my shit clean asf ;) .

Love you all now berate me in the comments below
