correct. pretty sure there are none at all for Toyota trucks if memory serves (at least up until new Tundras?)

The dealer directed me towards a local installer they used when customers wanted a remote start. it just happened to be on the same road I travel

Sorry to bump an old thread...but my 02 tacoma has this alarm. I was getting ready to install my compustar when I saw this box. Turns out its the factory alarm. I have to remove this before installing the compustar and hope to god these instructions can help me remove it.

I have an 04 DC w/ keyless entry but no alarm besides the panic button on the Key fob. No light down by the auxillary outlets below the ashtray. What to I need to purchase or do to have a "free alarm upgrade?"

Free alarm upgrade? No such thing as free. You'll need to find the correct rs3200 module for your truck.

What about Post #13 & 14? Where can I find the correct module? Dealer part only? @tony2018

I googled it. But the site that had that information no longer had any images available. Would be nice if I could find a wiring diagram of the rs3200, I'd be able to wire in additional sensors.

    edit:https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/free-alarm-mod.43231/

only goes off if someone opens the door w/o using the remote. I have to the remove the rs3200 in order to install the compustar or else if I disarm/unlock with the compustar remote than the truck will go off.
