REPLACED OIL-SQUIRT AIR CLEANER WITH REGULAR
FEB 2023: I bought a 2007 Tacoma, four cylinder, about five years ago with only 75,000 miles on it, at a municipal auto auction in Oracle AZ for $8200. Towed it home and all I had to do was put an alternator on it and replace the oil-squirt air cleaner with a good paper one, change oil and coolant and top off the brake/clutch master cylinder with brake fluid.
It is a good truck and goes 90+ miles per hour and i hauled 900 pounds of flagstone straight uphill from Phoenix to ShowLow AZ last year. Good mileage. 20-21 MPG uphill and flat ground and 24-25 MPG downhill. Air conditioner works Great!
PROBLEM: I never put on the 4wd and lower case gears every month (i didn't have the book until recently) When i got it it would go into 4wd and lower case, but not out. I had to un-do the battery to get back to 2wd.
NOW the 4wd light comes on but Will Not go into LOW and just keeps beeping. I think it is in 4wd because of the turning radius but not all that noticeable drag on acceleration.
ANY HINTS ON HOW TO GET IT TO GO TO 4WD LOW??

(I found a littlr vaccuum hose that was off the actuator and put it back on.

My other truck is a 1963 Willys Jeep 4wd truck I had over 30 years.(ALL MANUAL TO PUT IN 4WD and lower case)(PLUS it goes in lower case in 2wd as well)DSCN2036.jpg
