    Good morning,

I'm a new member and this is my first post. I have a stock 2011 4x4 Double Cab and I'm in need of new leaf springs. I have a camper trailer (5500#) that my family and I use mostly local (with-in 100 miles). I've decompressed my rear leafs and need an upgrade. I have a Leer shell (unsure of weight) but no other weight that stays in bed. I'm not sure if there has been another thread that discusses this; if there is just point me in the right direction. I would like to increase weight capacity. Any recommendations or reputable companies? Thank you!

there are a million options, but check out SDTRUCKSPRINGS.com and see if something there works for you, better than OEM that WILL flatten out again over time.

I did see SDTRUCKSPRINGS.com and saw another company; Deaver I believe. Is it also recommended to replace rear shocks as well or could that just be done at another time (just trying to be money conscious but realistic as well).

If you springs are shot, I would do a complete replacement and then also either of these Helper options. If they are Ok, then add either of these.

I have these and they work great, factory ride until they are needed with extra weight. Top quality, inexpensive. Easy install.

Sumo Springs are very popular, everyone seems to get these nowadays.

From what I gather, factory rear ride height (fender to center wheel hub) is supposed to be 22". Measured mine and it was 20". I was informed that leafs were "de-arched" and needed to be replaced.

I assume you meant Center Hub to Fender (Not bumper)
Your rear should be 22", front 20" (with a slight deviation for the driverside due to the battery and if you have a full tank of gas

Sounds like yours have had it, fairly common with Tacomas

Yes, I saw that I accidentally put bumper; thank you. Think they've had a good life. Probably from hauling camper trailer and not adding airbag or extra leaf. I'll enjoy the upgrade though!
