Where to buy OEM TRD Pro grill

Ah got it. If I recall my original grille didn’t have anything there (it’s been a while so maybe it did) so wasn’t sure if I needed a grille without.

I agree and really appreciated him posting that. It made finding the front camera bracket very easy. Heck, I didn't even realize what needed until he posted that. It's hard to figure out what you need when you don't have the parts... and don't have the truck yet.

Go to the auto parts store and buy a small roll of headlight tint, matte finish. I used it on mine and it really made it look more subtle.

 

@Martian__ what size screws did you use on the camera bracket? The screws didn’t come with my order. TIA.

 

This won’t be of much help. I used some extra screws I had laying around. Nothing fancy.

 

No worries. I grabbed #10x1/2” s/s self tapping screws from HD and it worked. For those close to a dealer I think the image attached below shows the hardware and bracket part numbers.

Seeing all the pictures with the grey lettering, looks sooo good. Should have went with that over the black. Shrugs.

 

What aftermarket garnish did you go with? I currently have TacoVinyl, but it is so bright compared to OEM...think I'm going to wait for a used OEM one to get a more subdued garnish.

I did because one reviewer said the silver isn’t too bright and blends well with the grill. It is shiny overall but I don’t have any complaints. I also don’t have a TSS so I don’t know if it will give you error messages if you have a TSS. The reviews about error messages are a mixed bag.

I bought my parts through Lithia Toyota in Billings. I was able to purchase an OEM Pro grill, camera bracket and garnish through them and have it shipped to me.

 

are dealers requiring a pro VIN if i'm just ordering the OEM garnish?

 

I didn’t voluntarily supply a pro vin for the grill and got asked to provide one before the order was processed. They called by phone to verify. I supplied a pro vin when ordering the garnish so it processed without any other issues.

 

I ordered mine through my dealer and had them install it on my TRD Sport no questions asked.

Ordered the -AA grill from Toyota of Bedford. They did not require a VIN at the time of ordering and two days later, cancelled the order. Didnt reach out for a VIN or give any reason.

Re-ordered through Toyota Parts Deal with the -AA grill and they cancelled it due to being back ordered.

New order through Discount Parts Deal with a -20 grill. After the order the came back and asked for a vin. We will see if it goes through.

 

I need the insert from a non tss truck if anyone has one I'd appreciate it.
