    Morning all:

That's the article I read Ken, I know roosters can be nasty but never heard of one killing someone. People I know who had an over aggressive rooster usually just serve it up for dinner, problem solved!

We had a big damn rooster that liked to intimidate anyone he could, and my wife was afraid of him. We'd be working outside and I'd do my best to stay between the rooster and my wife. One day I heard a scream and saw my wife about a hundred feet away with the rooster attacking. She kicked... and the rooster dropped like a rock... dead. Don't mess with my girlfriend.

Morning Carl. Rooster must had some big talons to cause him to bleed that bad or he was on blood thinners. After hearing this it gives me a whole new respect for roosters (or any big birds of prey) that have big talons. Have a good one.

Both of us had our shingles and pneumonia shots yesterday. Have never had an issue with any shots in the past...this time...wow. We both had trouble sleeping from rolling onto sore arms and fatigue today. Granted, we both put in huge efforts at the gym yesterday...but still. I sometimes think I've reached the stage in my athletic life where just because I can doesn’t mean I should.

The old style was wire wound resistors. Labor intensive.

The new style is a thick film-printed resistor (ceramic substrate, resister is silk-screened on the ceramic). Automated process.

Heat and moisture = corrosion. Challenge the blower cools off the resistor pack, so a bad fan means less airflow and cooling.

So if the fan isn't blowing, shut off the fan and pull it to remove that rat's nest and dead rat first.

I seem to recall that was in Texas.

Razors are strapped to fighting roosters.

I searched got the story but found too many links!

One didn't make sense but was roommate stabbed for taking the last piece of chicken. The chicken was leady dead in that case.

Everyone should have a working knowledge of first aid. Getting cut on a femoral artery is bad news, but holding pressure above the wound can save a person's life. (Sigh, one of the articles detailed a police officer who was killed busting a cock fight, which happened in the Phillippines, but I'm not linking it.)

Meanwhile, I'm getting an Amerature Radio Bug. It's been too many years, and I've forgotten most details despite having my 2nd class Radio Telephone License issued over forty years ago.

There are now software-defined radios, set up five in a pattern on a car roof and home in any transmitter. My college friends ran around town with battery-powered backpacks and a Yagi (directional antenna). Uber geeks had a different meaning back then. Take a map, a pencil, and paper. Fox and Hound was great fun, but I mainly enjoyed the beer afterward.

Yea, but those farmers still call it either DINNER or SUPPER! :D

Tom, I remember reading that article about where they strap razors on fighting roosters, and that the owner or handler was either killed or severely injured by one that had the razors attached to it while handling it.
Don't know what type of rooster these are on, but they sure look like they could do some damage!

So. like I said, somewhere, sometime, to someone, after fixing the battery - stupid blower fan would not go. Cleaned filter of a couple tiny leaves. Spun it - worked fine. Stopped a couple times more - take filter out and spin it; runs fine. Last week, decided time to take care of that issue before I'm starting to miss AC soon! Obviously to me, resistor pack not delivering much current to the old fan to start it - running ok with help. Bought the stuff, put it in. Was going to replace the actuator on the blend door too (a year ago, it was "flapping", so I scared it into working by getting one). Fits your Tacoma does NOT fit, but it hasn't been flapping in months......until now....

To have the spurs this size, the DINNER or SUPPER of the chicken would take much longer cooking time :D

Good morning, we in Fargo have been reminded it's still winter had a week or so in the upper twenties to mid thirties, now cold and snow. I was hoping to start seeing that warming trend continue. Sounds like a week of snow.
Looks like some of you are getting projects done.
