Hey folks! I'm shopping this weekend and likely picking up a Tacoma. Looking at V6 double cab with 6' bed and LED headlights are a must, so it looks like I'm looking at the higher trim levels and higher prices. Any advice appreciated.

I had a 4 banger Tacoma about 15 years ago and loved it. Any horror stories with this generation V6? I read recently that they started putting more plastic in there for coolant pipes, etc and that always concerns me.

I'm retired Navy working civil service and looking to retire again in another couple of years. Pungo is the southern/country part of Virginia Beach, Va.

    Glad to be here.

    Welcome :hattip:

My Aug 2017 built TRD Sport has 82,445kms of daily driven service without a single issue and only routine maintenance. Hell, I only replaced the battery last fall for piece of mind. Anything else done was of the optional variety. Only have 1 TSB too... the third brake lamp, not a single recall. The V6 engine may have some quirks, but it has decent power and alright economy.

I have zero regrets with my truck.

Well, the dealers in this area are still adding at least a $5,000 market adjustment to MSRP, which I will never pay. I would crawl 10 miles to work through thunderstorms and broken glass before I did that, but I'm older and crankier than most! :) Might be a while, but I'm not in a hurry anyway. Thanks for the inputs! I still have my 2022 MX-5 Club as a daily, so I'm ok.
