Just installed the IMS-50220 Dobinson shocks with the C59-354 springs. This is on a 2021 TRD Off-Road. They didn't come with coil springs installed, so i too them to a local shop and had them put them on. The shocks were adjusted to 226mm based off of what Dobinsons told me (for an additional 1 inch lift.)

After the install I'm sitting at about 25.5 on right, and 25.25 on left side, and should have went from 20.5 (stock) to around 23.9 from center rim to the wheel well.

I get this is designed for extra weight, such as the bumpers, which I do not have yet, but just want to be sure before I take it out on the road. Even when I stand on the front end (I'm 165 lbs and bounce, it barely moves.) This is my first major mod to my Tacoma I have done myself.

Is this normal, or should be ready for an education?

    Thanks!

Post a pic of the front coils. I'm wondering if the hats are installed upside down. I am unfamiliar with this lift, but almost every time someone says they got too much lift like you do, something on the front coils is installed wrong.

Put a few hundred miles on it and re-measure. Sometimes they need to settle in - at least that's what the Old Man Emu leafs did on my old Cruiser.

Ignore my guess, be kinda hard to install those upside down lol.

Dial it back from 226 I guess.

ARB told me the Dakar HD's would give me 2" of lift, I ended up at 3.5". Maybe they just are bad at guessing sizes, like my wife.
