    Stock all the way!
5ADABD64-0CE0-4C6B-82AE-05D64D7A5AC2.jpg Hi all ! Bought a ‘00 Tacoma and the radio (stock) is somehow disconnected and the truck had a phone antenna instead connected somehow when it was bought new? I am attaching image of the phone antenna on ext. cab window behind my driver side seat. The cord goes into the upholstery, underneath it. Stock radio is physically present .. I ripped off the antenna was on the outside of extended window.

I was told by previous owner that they rewired the radio to the phone antenna junk. No idea.

I want the radio to work again.

Any advice for wiring it back or where to find the cables to do so? Thank you so much.

I am not really sure what you're asking.

Remove the aux antenna. Just follow it back to whatever it goes.

You say the stock radio is disconnected, but you didn't show us a picture of the radio  Just remove the bezel around the radio (look that up on YouTube, I'm sure there is a video), and look at what's going on behind the head unit. No one on here can guess at what's back there if a previous owner has been messing with things back there. They could have cut the harness, or used an adaptor :notsure:.

Or if wires aren't your thing, just take it somewhere and get a new head unit and let them do the install.

That looks like a GPS antenna to me but idk

Real antenna plug is likely just shoved somewhere behind the radio/dash. Just take it out and look around. Just a few screws and firm yanks.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Hard to know I wonder did the seller have some new after market system they removed and just put the OEm Toyota radio back in.

Just never took the time to connect things or maybe the factory harness was just cut.

Pull the radio out see what your working with.
