Yeah I’ve put about 140 miles on it. Header, CAI, cat delete, EGR delete, refurbed injectors, and cleaned intake. It runs real nice and I’d say it is driving better and stronger. Not a race truck though and never will be. I did increase tire size to 32 and added a heavier flywheel so maybe those are counterbalancing any faster response the other work gained me.

I can idle uphill now where before I couldn’t

Got the valve cover back from getting cleaned up... realized I may have messed up with one of the pcv's or whatever it is. Does anyone know what this part is? Can I just plug it and call it a day? Got thrown out and I'd rather not cannibalize it from my current cover.

that's one of the PCV vents that goes to the throttle body. Never tried taking it off. Not sure how it's attached to the valve cover.
You could plug it, just make sure the other PCV valve in the rear still works and is plumbed so there is still a vent. Also cap the throttle body side of it.

Picked these up today for dirt cheap. Planning on either painting them some sort of black or maybe micro polish if I can learn how to. Open to ideas too. Whenever I do finish I’ll have some intake plenums up for sale in bst.

You can also just vent the valve cover to atmosphere with a small filter, and then cap the throttle body side.

Turbo it. The lce header definitely drops peak torque in the rpm range but the torque from a low psi turbo is still much better.

Pretty fun little day trip last Saturday.

First, real, shake down of the LT and dual cases. Everything functioned well. And got to spend some time with good friends.

    Double whammy today.

Hood won't close. Tried to fix it. Think I broke it more or it was already that way.
PO removed the center support so the core was super flimsy. Not quite sure what I'm going to do.
Might have to hit a yard on Monday and find a spare center but ill likely have to weld that nut back on.
    20230226_130015.jpg

    2nd whammy
Batter decided it didn't like it's home.
Entire tray is separated at the wheel well. I welded it together once before but I'm a total novice so my awesomely nooob welds didn't hold.
Rivnut has also almos entirely cracked free.

What have yall done in this situation? Seems like welding it back on again is just going to be another bandaid fix.
