Tacoma pros I need your help! I have a 2017 4x4 off road. When accelerating as soon as I hit 75mph the truck starts to make a humming/vibrating noise. The noise only happens when I’m on the gas and hit 75mph. Nothing before then. And nothing if I let off the gas. The humming also only happens between 75-80mph and gets the worst/loudest at 77mph. Noise sounds like it is coming from the front of the car. I did some research and seen others having similar issues but only at much lower speeds. Anyone know what might be causing this?!?

Some notes to add that may help.
-Truck has been regeared to .529 about 5k miles ago. (Was not making the noise before regear)
-just switched from 33” geolanders to 33” wildpeak at3w
-2.5” fox lift all the way around
    -74k miles on the truck
    -auto transmission
-just moved to colorado from so cal (wasn’t making the noise in so cal)

When did you switch the tires?

my gears do a whirring noise-like sound when I let off the gas, so I don’t think your problem is gear related. Unless it’s them spinning so darn fast it makes noise.
I’m on 4.88s and don’t have speed limits that go that high so I never tried

I switched the tires about a month ago so they are still brand new.

The regear being so recent is very suspicious.

That’s what I’m worried about but I had an extremely reputable so cal company do the regear so I’m thinking that’s not it. But I’m going to take a video of it and send it in to them and see if they can diagnose it.

I do not want to assume, but did the shop replace the needle bearing in the front diff with one from ECGS?
