Yeah, I'm just going to assume the previous owner was a pilot.

Bedliner is a pretty decent sound damper. Probably not as good as something purpose built, but it can help. I imagine trying to make the inside of an FJ quiet is a losing battle. Basically just sheets metal bodies.

This is state average. Gotta read between the lines. I'm guessing that NoVA is the reason for such high averages. I can tell you that the counties between Fairfax and Richmond are far less. Worst of all is that these taxes are supposed to go into transportation development/sustainment and it all gets thrown into the general fund. Anyway....

Has anyone replaced an antenna mast on a 2013 t4r? I remember it being a pita to swap the base out, requiring pulling the fender liner as well as going inside under the glove box area on my 2010 taco. The girlfriends antenna did the same thing mine did. Stubby antenna let water in, threads rusted out, and it broke off. Just looking for a good write up and part#s to get it fixed up for her.

    Thanks in advance!

You are correct as far as I know. The hardest part is getting the retaining ring off the mast mount (or whatever it’s called). I had a tool that fit the slots but it still bent and mangled the ring.

Awesome thanks for the link! Yeah when i did my taco, i used a part that watchmakers use to tighten/loosen the backs of watches. Looks like two flat head screwdrivers spaced apart. Ill find the parts i need, order up some parts, and get it knocked put here soon. Too bad i didnt think ahead. Today would have been a perfect day to get it done.

Anytime! I’ve used them for years, they seem to have decent pricing and are able to get factory parts on discontinued Toyotas and have been very competent over the phone.

Put the manual log splitter to work today. Now sitting by a fire while the snow falls. Nice therapeutic couple of hours.20230225_112930.jpg 16773473283654147824073015458673.jpg

Never posted the finished product. Now just need the temps to warm up so I can get the waterfall going. And of course a few more occupied chairs around the fire.

Good deal in my book. I really like this company. They've become my go-to tool manufacturer. Their customer service is top-notch. I broke something of theirs and had a replacement on its way to me within hours. I've made countless orders from their site and they typically ship within a few hours. Like actually ship, not tracking number created. They also do rewards points. I believe it's 10%. I've gotten a few things for free because of it. I have all of these sockets and bought them by drive size. Wish this set had existed when I got mine.
