Turns out having a cell phone and dash cam mounted on the dash in the center disrupts the signal? Moved them and seems to fix the issue.

So far…. Added fog lights swapped halogens to led’s, interior lights to led’s, bed lights added, led/strobe brake lights, trying to figure out the right leds for turn signals.
So. Asking for a friend. How did you access this advanced menu? I have no idea what I’d do with it but it looks cool

    With the truck running

    1 Mute the audio..
2 push menu the select turn off display
3 with the screen off with one finger slide it accross the screen to the passanger side 5 times, then swiper your finger to the driver side 5 times.
    It will pop up.

To exit you need to turn off the truck and restart.

I doubt that this has anything to do with your case but certain areas of the country undergo frequent military exercises with GPS jamming. Notably New Mexico / west Texas, and central Nevada. I'm not sure if our trucks' GPS can use GLONASS/GNSS but I'm willing to bet they can.

I thought about that. Your on the right track

I finally got help from another dealer. They did updates to the software of the radio. The tuck was shipped with a very old version of software.

Once that was complete the signal was better. Hard to belive but it made it better, did not drop out anymore like the pictures. They then showed me where the gps Antenna is located from a guide they have from Toyota to solve signal issues

Turns out that the gps Antenna in the tacoma is not on the roof, but at the winsheild line under the dash. With my cell phone, and dash cam taken away the signal is fine. If I put them back , or anything on that area on the dash. Instantly the signal goes to zero.

Relocated the camera behind the rear view mirror. Phone below the dash.

Kinda silly but that seems like a bit of a design issue.
