    Hello everyone.
I just joined this forum. I have a 2012 Tacoma TRD sport (4.0 engine). My question is: Do aftermarket cold air intakes really improve performance?
    Thank you!

On todays modern gasoline engines, no. They will, more than likely, reduce your power (by some amount that you couldn’t possibly notice)…but they do sound good.

You'd get more HP from a thinner filter like a K&N, but then you run the risk of getting dirt, crud and other crap into your engine.

Best HP Bang for your buck is weight reduction and supercharger if you're looking for power.

Stock trucks are the best trucks IMHO

When I went to UTI, we did a intake test with different brands on the dyno compared to stock and what we learned was that it wasn’t worth the money for the gains.

    Welcome!

Truck comes factory with a cold air intake as it pulls air from the fender.
