I'm about to order a set for my 13 longbed. I have Total Chaos bed stiffeners installed already. Do you still need the dimensions of the stiffeners or do you already have a template to cut the end board? Thanks!

Recently found this heavy rubber mat which is an excellent option for anyone looking to add some serious extra padding and protection on top of the bambeds platform. It'll fit perfectly as is in a Long Bed and would be simple to cut to size for a short bed.
It also could be cut around the wheel wells for an under-platform mat.

For anyone with a soft topper or a shell with a large overhanging lip, this is the best way to install your boards:

Use the side cubby to place one corner of the board and then rotate it into position.

 

Darn! I have my RV water pump system installed in there. Gonna have to keep finagling it around the softopper frame. Hoping to get a mid-rise shell soon.

what are the dimensions of the Tacoma 3rd gen long bed boards? I usually have 1-2 bikes with me, along with a GFC topper.
Hoping to slide the boards vertically down half of the bed (like a slider) with the bikes on the alternate side. Then, assemble the bed at camp, once the bikes are removed. Is the width of each board less than half the width of the bed as you face the tailgate?

 

Hi Ellie, yes that would work. The dimensions of each board are approx 57"x24"
