Time For New Tires What Should I Get

Let me start by saying this will be for my Rav4 not the Tacoma. This vehicle is the grocery getter and the ski/mountain rig so they have to perform well in the snow and also be descent around town and on the highway. I also have been known to rally the back roads so durability is also important.

The guy at my local Discount Tire is recommending the BF Goodrich KO2. I love the super aggressive look and I like the idea of white letters out but I know nothing about this tire. I was almost sold on Wild Peek A/T3's but for less than $15 more per tire he says the Goodrich tires are a better value and a superior tire all around.

Thoughts from the community and those with experience with the KO2's is greatly appreciated.

 

I have KO2s on my truck and really like them but on your RAV4 I’d look at something like the Nitto Nomad Grappler,

I’d want to keep weight down, keep performance and mpg up.

Assuming you have 17” wheels as there are no KO2 18s that will fit.

The BFG spec for 235/65R17 shows a max pressure of 65psi, implying a “D” (8-ply equivalent) which is a robust tire for a RAV4. Decent in snow and durable as heck…..my wife swears by hers on her DCSB.
And the white letters go with a white vehicle….should look great.
