One of my ARB fog lights burnt out on me last night after 4+ years. Of course the one with a cracked lens full of water is still going strong

Looking at pics online it seems like a sealed unit. No choice to replace just the bulb, must replace the entire thing at the tune of $121 for the set. Has anyone ever come across a way to swap just the bulb? I swear I read about someone doing that but cant for life of me find anything on it

As a side note I see ARB now offers an LED version of the kit P/N 3500890. ARB has them listed as 6000k LEDs which seems like an odd choice for a fog light.

I would highly recommend upgrading to the Diode Dynamics fog lights.

I like the factory look quite a lot actually, bot so much for the square LEDs. Ended up ordering a new set from Slee. Best price I could find at $91 + shipping.

Out with the old in with the new. A lot of that in the picture is just road grime not pitting of the lens, but its still amazing what a difference in brightness there is with the new ones

I'm pretty sure the 3rd gen arb bars have the fogs with replicable bulbs.

Makes sense. Im honestly very surprised the 2nd gens aren't.

Also noticed in the ARB literature they offer a lens protector/cover kit for the 3rd gens. Another nice touch

Oh not to fill everyone in on the secret but you can 100% replace the bulbs in the ARB housings. you open up the unit there is a simple H series bulb forget what one, but you need to cut 2 small slits in the smaller rubber gasket to free the wire then cut in 2 spade connectors and you're good to go, once you open it all up its just a standard bulb replacement. haven't had one leak yet, but if i do its Diode dynamics or similar as replacement.

ive a set of PIAA yellow bulb in mine

But how do you open up the housing? The lens looked molded / sealed to the housing to me. Ive still got one stilling in the parts bin Ill have to take a closer look at it sometime.

I wonder if the 2.0 gens are different from the 2.5 gens? I know the bar itself changed a bit with the facelift

remove the light from the facia, then the back had some screws, opened that up and everything was on display, I swear I took pictures for a friend who has them too, I do have an earlier bumper but all them I've seen are the same so far.
