I was today years old that I noticed after starting my truck with the radio off, and then turning it on, the words " Valley Runner..." appear briefly on the top of the screen.

What is so hard to understand? I have the VR tune, and never noticed that the radio displayed the words Valley Runner when the radio was turned on after start up. I found it odd that the ECU would send that information to the radio

Easily done on your head unit. Need a USB stick and a pic or two.

I’ve got SRV greeting me everytime I start my truck.

It was a joke, the "today years old ". You never heard that expression? I already have a TRD logo on startup, that I installed, that shows up everytime I start the truck. but before that it appears on the top my screen, only when the radio is turned on after ignition. Like said it was just an observation, like a signal from the ECU. I though others with a tune might have seen something similar

Maybe ask your valley runner tuner, if they updated your start up screen? I have a pic of the wife and I with a pair of shed moose antler's we found while snowmobiling in the back country, as my start up. Ski

That’s weird they changed they too. Like everyone else said, switch it back using a usb to whatever you prefer. I’m lame and my start up says “Hello!” In large font.

I was today years old when I found out that so many people have never heard "I was today years old" before.

Just kidding around, lol. Don't get mad at me.

Anyhow, it's super easy to change the startup/shutdown images. This blog is the first one I found when I did a google search right now, but it looks like there are hundreds of sites and youtube videos on the subject:

Changing the Start Up and Off Screen on the 3rd Gen Tacoma (***************)

So anyhow, I'd grab a USB thumb drive and export the images to see whether they modified your startup screen, or whether they're passing the information in realtime.

Just tried to duplicate it. It appeared where the clock sits at the very top of the screen. I could not get it to display again. I swear I was not doing shrooms when I saw it the first time.
