Removed factory bed cover and installed UnderCover Elite. Added LOCKERDOWN console safe.
2014 bought UnderCover hard one-piece for 2014 TRD OR. Sold two months ago with 125+k miles and NEVER a drop of water in bed.

Have a 2023 SR DCSB 2.7l due in next week and will put same topper on it.

Has anyone tried a Rough Country hard low profile tonneau. Online reviews seem very good, and pricing is at least $300 less than Bakflip or Undercover.

I was also looking at Lomax, which also has great reviews, but their info says it doesn’t fit the 2023 (what changed on Tacoma from 2022)?

Anyone here look at the Gator FX3? seems to fit nice and flush.

I know a lot like the Bakflip, which does what I want, folds all the way up against the back window if needed, as does the Undercover Flex, which looks great too.

I believe the rough country cover is rebranded from another manufacturer. Forget which one, will try searching.

The Lomax should fit the 2023 just the same as 2022. @truckalter can confirm that he has shipped the Lomax out for 2023 Tacoma’s.

I think I have narrowed down my choices, mostly through the process of elimination. I didn’t realize how many companies make or sell tonneau covers.

Based on past experiences with hard non folding tonneaus, I would not get one again, too hard to remove and replace when you need the full bed. I need a folding tonneau, that will fold all the way open up to the cab window, hard material so it is better secured, designed to reduce water intrusion, I don’t expect it not to leak, but want it to do a good job.

I have narrowed my choices, but mostly interested in the Undercover. Has anyone had experience with the Undercover Ultraflex tonneau? Quality, fading, water leakage? I’m in AZ, it gets hot and the sun really beats on tonneaus. I watched a YouTube video(s) on a Bakflip, but in the end, people had issues with sun/ heat damage, in the short term, (1-2 years) I didn’t get that in the reviews on the Undercover ultraflex. Also Undercover had a longer warranty.

The Undercover also mounted easily using the existing bed rails, without lowering them.

I guess I am making my own case, but if someone has real life experience/ input please let me know.

Bakflip mx4 here. We have them on our fleet of work trucks and have no real issues the things are tough and they have held up well besides the hail damage. If you want to have any good use of your bed I wouldn't consider anything that doesn't fold right up.
Are they water tight? No was my leer 100xl? No. But are they tough and hide your load and give some sort of security yes.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I’ll look up these suggestions. Still shopping around for a high quality hard folding trifold tonneau that secures/locks down and is fairly water proofish. Looking for a good price maybe waiting for sale.
