I have a 97 3.4 4x4 manual trans. A few weeks ago it started making a whining noise after I would crank it up. I thought at first it was low power steering fluid, that's what it sounded like to me, but fluid is fine and no trouble steering. Noise stops always when I depress the clutch. I read somewhere else on here and similar symptoms someone else talked about was output shaft bearing in transmission. The only thing that makes me wonder is after the truck has warmed up, 5 minutes or so, the noise quits. Always quits when I depress the clutch and always quits after a few minutes of running. I'm not positive the noise is from transmission area but I think it is. Anyways just wanted to see if anyone had similar issues or advice. Thanks in advance.
