I can so understand and relate :frusty::evil:

The good old if it is not sold by an approved vendor you really need to jump through many Hoops to purchase.

Then of course till a company can be added to the approved vendor list the need for the item was 6 months ago

This is how I ended up with so many strange and interesting goodies:anonymous:

In the end till all the beans were counted and deductions deducted I came out slightly ahead.

I feel so sorry for whoever needs to get all that equipment started after sitting idle so long.

I can just see being pulled over by a new LEO that just moved into the area from where winter meant no frozen water from the sky in most winters.

    For no license plate !

Reminds me of the Big City State Trooper having no idea of the country .

The biggest problem with old electronics is the capacitors failing, sometimes if they let go it let's the magic smoke out.
A good tech can go through and replace them, commonly called a "re-cap", and get the unit back in spec.

Midway USA was like that. You also had quotas to hit every 2 hours.

It never fails electric power is to far away to power the engine heaters . They just don`t have them installed like when Texas and Arkansas invaded some years back. Lots of great people I miss interacting with them.

My favorite go to was a Generator / Welder and a dragon in the rear of a pick up/welding rig aimed at the radiator far enough away to not melt the paint.

Depending just how long things sat a battery charger might also have been used.

Never failed unless the batteries were frozen and cracked.those took a ride for new batteries.

We never went that strict but the owner thought it was a great idea to better track labor time .

Every time you left one job you punch out on the job punched in on the other . plus shop time loading or unloading trucks.

I am not sure of how many added hours it took then to bill the labor . 5 minutes here 10 there 35 here + 5 people + 10 hours a day for 6 days .

It lasted 2 weeks The office people were ready to quit.

2.5" lift, all new chinese light plastics, led lights here and there... want to make a daily "overlander" modeled after "overland under budget"..
Rusty, we love our 800$ awd town and country too! I can get full sheets of plywood, 10ft lengths of pipe, all the groceries, sleep in the back for halibut fishing...so many activities!
To the old stereo equipment....im soo regretful of selling my hoard years ago. Marantz audiophonic technics...18" concert cabinets...man i had the set up. I could rattle the neighbors house a block away! Wish i still had it all..

Patiently waiting for the snow plow to come through the neighborhood.

The streets have in the neighborhood of 14" of snow on them so there's going to be a doozy of a pile to blow once it comes through.

Going to pick my wife up and bring her home, there were a couple of puckery moments but the Tacoma kept on trudging through.
