I have a 2001 Tacoma extended cab and I’m curious if anyone knows if a canopy from a 1992 extended cab tacoma would fit it? Cant find any reliable info online…

    Thanks

I doubt perfectly. Are you thinking of buying it? Is it for camping or keeping tools out of sight? I've used a Ranger cap before.

I want to get one for cheap for camping and have not been able to find one for my exact year, so I found a random used one off a 1992, but I’m not sure the brand… What year of ranger cap did you use? Fit well?

Nothings gonna fit perfect unless it was made for the 1st gen, go take measurements of the one for sale and see if it will work for you

Does not fit. The canopy for an 89-95 (just called a truck in that era, Tacoma started in 95.5) will sit about 2 inches lower on a Tacoma and potentially hit the cab.

Finding a canopy for a 95-04 Tacoma is a pain in the ass, the extended cab canopies are curved to fit the contour of the cab, a non-extended cab canopy fits but it is more vertical where it meets the cab so it has a gap that gets larger toward the top

    Hopefully that makes sense
