A part fell out of my shift assembly...

    98 Automatic PreRunner.

    I was replacing the bushings in the shifter and this piece fell out, and I can't figure out where it goes. It's the "shift lever stopper" 33886-22010.

    It can be seen in the lower-left of the parts diagram, but that didn't give me a good idea of where it actually goes. Anyone have a picture or idea where I'm supposed to stick this?

    if memory is working lol, try seeing if it will slide onto this tab

    If not, I won't be able to check until tomorrow but I do have a spare shift assembly and can get a pic for you. Try that tab though. Nearly positive it slides onto a tab.
