At the end of a very, very long week personally, and happy as hell that it’s Friday today.

In lieu of the traditional dumpster fire thread, I propose that we spend some time contemplating all the good that TW has done us in our individual and aggregate lives.

So please tell your stories of how TW has made a difference to you. Or, alternately, if you just can’t help yourself, tell a story about the ugliness of humanity, the ridiculousness of the human condition, the hilariousness of circumstance, or whatever, as long as there’s a nugget in there somewhere of good done by the forum.

    I’ll start:
-Met a huge community of fellow bourbon and whiskey collecting/hoarding folks, made several new buds.
-Got help with installing a full new suspension, having hardly ever wrenched on a Taco before.
-Used all the various fluid change guides to baseline the truck I bought used.
    -Got help picking out tires
-Got help picking out recovery gear
-Got help picking out local trails here in NC
-Generally met a great group of people and got laughs when I needed them.
-Got reminded, on a daily basis, that I don’t know everything and I’m probably not as smart as I think I am :)

That about does it. Hope you’re all doing well with spring right around the corner here.

I have enjoyed TW since September 2021. Can't believe it's coming up on 2 years of ownership for my Sport. (Brought her home May 14, 2021)

Testimonials are at the heart of my interest in Forums.

Skimming through "Thread Titles" and finding interest in topics keeps my mind engaged to other things going on in the world. (I mean with everyone's life)

Lately, I've been disliking my job and I've written about it on Delaware Tacomas thread.

Yesterday, my supervisor and Sr Manager of the Department I support as a Resource Management Tech both came to my desk to discuss Wednesday's fiasco...I took a sick day.

Anyway, they both are enthusiastic about overcoming the obstacles of our Inventory Management System and planning to help lighten my daily duties.

Well, wouldn't you know...I actually was happy to hear this because before that happened, I felt like I was on an island dealing with all the nonsense by myself.

If I left, that would seriously strain the department because of the valuable knowledge I've learned in the past 4.5 years in this same position.

Continuity is important but so is having a fully-trained back-up. Everyone is busy these days and staffing shortages are everywhere.

So, we made it to Friday...and I'm finishing the week on a positive note.

Thankful to staff for reminding me this place isn't all that bad.

    Hahahaha!

Even if they did, nothing would change...seriously!!! (Shaking My Head)

This gives me a chance to write what I feel...and point out the SOEs (Sequence of Events).

Has anyone ever felt that mixed feeling knowing there's a countdown to leaving a location? (I say mixed because some locations were better than others)

I did it in the military by changing bases/locations 8 times in the span of 25 years. (7 with family)

The song that describes me ever since I retired from the USAF in 2011:
