I've had my Pro coming up on a year Lime manual only 1200 miles. I love it but don't have to drive it much. I almost have to force myself to drive it every 2 weeks just to keep it in tip top shape. I have a 2022 4runner pro the wife uses and drives it about 3k miles for the year mostly short trips like 4 or 5 miles so we get about 14 mpg. Have an opportunity to get a new Rav4 Prime xse all options. She could then use that in all electric mode. What would you do?

Sell the 4Runner and house, quit your job, get a flatbed FWD camper and take a trip around the world with the Taco.:burp:

You drive so little why would you care about fuel mileage at all?

He wants our permission to sell his truck and bow to the more sensible life that his wife wants him to have- a car that can carry 3 kids in back with room enough for her and the groceries and also fits inside their 2-car garage so the HOA doesn’t yell about the truck in the driveway. His other self wants to keep the taco for overlanding adventures to far off secluded beaches and places where he can post photos of his “TacoLife”. He’s hoping we can console his internal conflicted feelings about having the good life vs. having a happy wife. I say go for it, you only live once!

uh… I need to listen to myself more often…:anonymous:

I'd go with a Pilot Trail Sport before a RAV 4 Prime. More vehicle for about $20k less, then I would drive the wife's 4Runner when she takes the Honda.

Keep the 4Runner. Lease the Rav4 and rent it out through turo then give it back when the lease is up. I can't help you with the Tacoma decision. Never cared for sinus infection green.

Im a divorced dad and almost an empty nester with 3 child suport payments to go. I think this makes me uniquely qualified to offer some advice.

    Keep the Tacoma

Its good to put the others first, but if you compromise too much you can lose part of yourself and grow resentful.

Go too far the other way and its not good to neglect your family.

Manual pro splits the difference. It shouldnt depreciate and wont cost you much to maintain. It wont be a hassle to keep on the road.

Im taking my grown boys in my manual Tacoma to the Mint 400 next weekend and we are also going to see UFC while in Las Vegas. We have come a long way since Chuck E Cheese and Pump it up in my 2007 Honda Odyssey.

I can’t fathom it. Guy buys the highest trim of a vehicle and pays top dollar to drive it a 100 miles a month. I’d always keep a truck but it sounds like the OP has no use for it. Get the rav4.

Drive your Tacoma more and keep it, or get an electric bike.

Agreed with above. Sell the 4runner, put a flatbed camper on the truck and go get some powder in the Sierras before winter ends
