KB Voodoo Cross Bars and Customer Service Question

I have a pair of KB Voodoo cross bars. It's missing one of the brackets. I was wondering if you guys knew or have delt with the customer service before. You think they will be able to send me another bracket without buying a whole set? I just want to buy the one bracket. I emailed customer service, just waiting on a response!

 

Update: They answered and are shipping out the parts! Crazy they answered on a Saturday! Amazing customer service!

 

Nice. How are the bars/uprights holding up? Any rust?

 

Yeah, a little but who cares! They get the job done! I don’t get why people talk so much about a tiny bit of rust!

 

The rust is more of a concern if it’s on a load bearing member supporting a tent/kayak/whatever traveling at highway speeds.

It looks like to me the wrong metal was spec’d or poor coating/prep…especially if this a new kit. I’m wondering how a little bit of rust even got on top of the upright. I guess the coating is rubbing off.

 

Had our KB mid height rack for 3+ years and it has a little surface rust in the corners, but nothing that would make me worry about structural integrity. 23Zero tent mounted on top so it has some wind drag at speed. The coat quality could be a little better, but we see more surface rust on welded sliders that don't make us worry.
