I hope to someday restore one of these beauties into an RV. Detroit two stroke madness. Best sound EVER.

 

That would be a fun project.

 

I would absolutely love the chance someday.

 

That straight 6 is the smallest two stroke for the fleets. I think v16’s were built as well. But for much bigger machinery.

 

My old boss from over 15 years ago had one. He drove to the Midwest somewhere to get it. Don't know what he paid for it but he certainly wasn't rich. He always talked about how cool the engine was. I haven't talked to him in years, hell he could be dead by now

 

Those Detroit two strokes make awesome sounds. Whether it’s idling and sounding like a monstrous pist off hog, or mid to WOT. Cool two stroke technology for its day.
