Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

It's 32 outside so I figured it would be a good idea to try and make a dent on the ice and compacted snow on the driveway. Got uite a bit up but that's damn tiring.

My wife drove 2 hours to pick up her niece then they're going another hour and a half to look at a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. Apparently we're loaning her $2k to help with the down payment. I would have still said ok but it would have been nice to have been part of that conversation.

 

Do you know what a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk looks like? I mean.. is it even a real Jeep?

 

1) Don't care, not my car.

2) It's for a 22 year old female that wants 4WD and to sit higher than her Rio but better gas mileage than our Pilot.
2A) And has a limited budget.

3) Apparently it's "cute".
3A) Ain't no combating that once it's in a female's head.

I rattle canned my old remington 870 20 gauge to make it into a little better turkey gun, we'll see spring season opens in a week and a half. Started with od base color and found some foliage around my house that I could pattern with. I'm happy with it. Gonna finish it up with a nail polish red sight dot whenever the wife gets me a bottle.

 

Just remember fellas, Its not small, its cute.

Lo and behold, we did get out today. I started checking the back roads for tracks before they were plowed, but the taco was a champ once again. We found one pair of good tracks, and from that and a lot of walking thru a foot os snow, one coyote. I didn't break out the snowshoes, but maybe should have. Two other guys wore them and thought it was a bit easier going.

 

I've been known to bust out the spray bombs on occasion...

 

Vehicle purchase complete.

The dealership "makes" your first payment for you. Since they couldn't move on the price of the vehicle (it was a good deal, hence why she drove 7 hours round trip for it), my wife brokered the deal of instead of the $340 first car payment, put the $560 autostart in instead. They agreed but they don't have the autostart in stock so they'll have it installed on Wednesday the deliver it to the niece so no one has to drive again to pick it up. Not an amazing deal but on a $20k used vehicle in this market, it's not bad.

There will still need to be a trip down to Watertown to retrieve our Pilot.

About 4 hours round trip.

 

Howdy team. Hitting the road myself. Heading north to Cincinnati. Hopefully traffic on Sunday is a little thinner than the rest of the week.
