4.0 VVTi engine like the FJC had toward the end?

 

I thought they had Dual VVTi on the FJs? My 2009 4.0L Tacoma had VVTi

 

Hey, at least I’m not driving an ‘F150 that identifies as a Taco.’

Taco's never had the VVTi with the intake cam adjustment, just the VVT. The "i" added another 30hp or so. The FJ got it in 2013and 2014 I think, the 14 definitely had it as I had one. MUCH smoother engine then the 4.0 in the Taco.

 

Well just remember, the frame does you no good if the rest of the truck is broken!

236HP VS 270 HP. the 270 HP one had the filter underneath with the replaceable filter canister.

 

And the Dual VVTi engines found in the FJ, 4R and highlander were all speced for 5w-20 where as the Taco was speced for 5w-30.
