I didn't see any white on the birds.

Doing some quick reading on "Vultures" it looks like most of them wouldn't be common this far North this early. Also they are noted for grunting or hissing only, these things were making "bird noises" for lack of a better term.

The only birds I really know about are Firebirds, Skylarks, Falcons, Larks (Studebaker that is). ;)

I've had this mourning dove on my back porch for the past couple of months. Every morning it constantly pecks at the windows, trys to jump through the windows seeing its reflection and poops all over my patio furniture. If I walk up to the window and stare at it, it just stares right back at me. I'm sure it's a sign. :notsure:

I venture they were starlings they are all black native to this area .

Smaller about 1/3 the size of a crow.

    Common Blackbirds another option

It comes down to size maybe just a Murder of Crows They have a tendency to hang out being very social.

Quite a long time since they have chowed down on Humans.

    Funny.

Reason being a combination of GERD (I won’t get into details but it’s nasty at times) and my cat. She likes to stand on my chest and purr loudly.

    What about you?

Wow, there have been a few strange intrusion into your neck of woods there. I remember last time you showed the pictures of shredded tree barks, and now these packed of birds. Quite an eventful!

Fun fact, starlings aren’t native to North America, they were introduced in the 1800s by Shakespeare enthusiasts who wanted to have the birds of Shakespeare in America.

2"-3" spread at 30". If you could get close enough to get the salt in it's eyes, you may be able to snatch up a pissed off rodent!

Speaking of pissed off animals, I found out two nights ago that we had a raccoon living under the back deck. The deck was built over a concrete patio and the raccoon thought living under the slab would be a good home. I took a 10' piece of PVC and ran it out, hasn't been back since.
