Damn passenger window keeps lowering on its own, takes 10 to 15 minutes before it will go up. It's cold.

Is the money better at Albertsons ? A lot of places want you to have the endorsement, but you’ll never need it, not sure about the position he’s after. If he really wants, then he needs to study the material, not that hard, and I wasn’t one to study in school either. That’s groceries, right ? Tell him to get used to working weekends and holidays, all the crap shifts for years. They Union ? Plus side, shouldn’t have to worry about a layoff, everyone needs to eat. Nothing wrong with hauling dirt, basically M-F, maybe a Saturday here and there.

 

Doubles and triples here in NC is just written test. Job interview you will have to hook up and make all the connections and unhook, but that's it. Untill you pull a pair you will never know what's its like. Some say its easier to pull a pair some say its harder cause of the wiggle effect. you get used to it. Tell him written test usually consist of test your knowledge questions.

 

I feel sorry for your friend but can understand not being able to speak Government legalize terms.

I took that test when the licenses changed thinking it would be really hard but to me it was simple.

I guess it comes down to how bad He wants the endorsement I would be learning to translate those fancy terms.

Maybe some Help to learn the material?

 

Yep it’s a union, and he’s very very used to working all hours. Currently in a tow truck so he’s worked every holiday for about 3 years prior and every other weekend for the last year and a half. And he’s just struggling to pass the test. He knows how to hook them up and tow them he just can’t pass the test.

Yeah when I went to get my CDL I passed the regular class A stuff easy and I asked if I could try the doubles and triples just for fun and I passed first time without studying more then a quick flip through. He on the other hand had to take the the regular tests 8 different times before he passed them all. And he needed so so so much help just to do it and it was still blind luck that got him to pass. Now don’t get me wrong he’s not an idiot when it comes to driving the trucks but he just can’t for the life of him take the test.

 

test anxiety I have seen this with welders.

Knows his stuff goes to take a certification test just gets so stressed out looks like he never welded before.

Passed every practice test no anxiety .

 

He may have a learning disability that is making it difficult for him.

 

I get learning disability I have ADHD not diagonsed as a kid, but taking tests and reading is the worst. I'll be reading something and wife ask question and I have to start paragraph from begining.
Thats why I mentioned about the test your knowledge questions. I fill in the blanks and reat it as normal helps shorten things up.
Tell him slow down take his time reading test and he'll be ok.

 

Yeah I'm a senior citizen with adhd, I get it.
When I was a kid they didn't have a definition for it. They couldn't understand how the kid with the second highest IQ in the school was failing.
School was torture for me, still is. The classroom part of trucking school sucked! But the yard and driving skills part I aced.

 

Not quite a senior citizen, but not too far off. I get how do you remember street names and markers to find things all the time.

 

By the way mom is from Monroe.

 

Long term memory is good, short term is always a struggle, lol. I remember as a kid riding dirt bikes in the deserts of California I had an uncany memory and could always find my way around and back to camp.

Dang, one of my fuel stops burned. Was fine when I drove by at 445 am. Had enough fuel (and didn't have to shit) to make it to Portland so I didn't stop.

 

A couple of you may know it. It's the T/A at Biggs jct on I-84.
