That's badass. I picked up a K&N intake 63-9039 and was going to block off the hole that leads into the fenderwell. Intake temps are definitely gonna be higher than normal but it's better than getting dirt and shit into the intake

I would take a good look at this thread, so far so good on mine and I haven't noticed a change other than a little more noise in the cabin at WOT

What you cut will depend on how you go about it. But cutting will be needed. With a 0 offset wheel and 35's you will be rubbing a lot of things. I would recommend reading all the info at www.jdfabrication.com and the discussion "fitting 35's".

Isn't that for a 2nd gen? If I'm not mistaken 3rd gens have more clearance in the wheel well

Lets be real. You will likely end up with more than 10k just in the front to use 35's with some reliability and for the suspension to work pretty good. Lets not forget about axles, brakes, gears, steering, bumpers, winch, recovery gear, the rear suspension etc. I could go on. With those types of trails with 35's your new/newer Tacoma will be looking 20 years old before you know it. Find a beater truggy and go beat on it and save the Tacoma as your daily.

Ya its for a second gen and it's mostly a BS thread at this point with 800 pages of non-sense, difficult for new folks to read through.

Please dont comment on things you dont know. Plenty of us running 35s with clean bodies and didnt spend $10k on just the front.

Read the first page. Based on the brief description of your build do you have less than 10k into it? Do you wheel steep loose rocky trails rated 7 and above? That's his plan. Wheels, tires, gears with a locker up front (hopefully the rear already is) with nothing done to fit those tires he will be over 10K. He should save his Tacoma and just go and find something like this, SOLD: - 1988 Toyota ExtraCab Rock Crawler - Marlin, ORIs, RCVs, 40s | RockCrawler Forum

I have wheeled trails up to 9/10 and you dont need to spend $10k but you easily can. When I first wheeled with 35s I did not have 10k in my build, at the time, I had about $5k and you can easily go cheaper if you opt for things like Bilsteins or something.

10k is a little overkill. I could definitely "finish" the front end with tires for under 3.5k (without a locker)

Mine is a 12 and I had 2.75 on front with 35s and I cut the cab mount, never boxed it in since I wanted the room and ease of use to clean and sledge hammered the pinch weld fender area with cutting. Rear is easy, I had 63s and was amazing. But all of it is cut out at the moment.
