    In Park on level ground?

It would be best to drain out a bit. Overfilling can cause aeration, not a good thing.

100% agree with Bill, you don't want to leave it overfilled.

Drain some and just eat the cost. After doing a drain, I follow this process -

    • Fill to COLD line
    • Start Engine and cycle through the gears, shut off
    • It will have dropped so again, fill to the COLD line and start engine, cycle through gears & shutoff
    • Check again, rinse and repeat until your check shows its at the cold line
    • Once at the COLD line, drive and bring it up to operating temp
    • Once at op temp, check with the engine running, if still not with the Hot range (between the two marks), with the engine running, fill until it is between the two marks.
Do your thing and check again in a few days (at op temp, engine running) and make sure its still within those 2 marks on the HOT range.

This is what toyota outlines -

When replacing the fluid - toyota wants you to do the following -
