DVRK’s - 23 BLK TRD PRO build “MCFLY”

Became a statistic and Replaced my stolen 21 army green TRD OR with this 23 BLK TRD PRO.

Been lurking the site since 2021 when I had my army green taco and utilized many threads to assist with basic maintenance and mods, but never really posted or became a member of the community.

After dealing with the whole trauma of everything finally felt back to normal mentally and figured it might be beneficial to join the community and document the build since we are starting to see a more positive outlook.

it was tough trying to build out the army green rig during Covid as parts were difficult to come by…so it was hard not being able to fully enjoy the beauty of the army green color.

Fast forward to today and we are going to try and update this feed accordingly.

Full disclaimer this is my daily and I plan to utilize the truck as a work horse for my diy house renovations / landscaping side hustle while having the ability to off road with some buddies, but I’m joining the professional mall crawler club.

Here’s “MCFLY” on day 1 of our journey.

Sorry to hear about your last Tacoma but looks like you’re doing great with the new one. It’s always cool to see another black truck build!

 

Yea…each new mod I debate about what to properly name the build. We’ll see if I can get some trd bead locks to properly channel Marty’s pickup appropriately.

 

appreciate the kind words. BLK builds seem to get a lot of hate in the forum due to upkeep but it’s just something about all black builds that have always been “clean”. Oh the irony.

Haha it’s so true! Black wasn’t my first choice, but I found the perfect truck for me in black and I don’t dislike it so I went for it and I don’t regret it at all. Although I do get why people say it’s hard to keep clean. Fortunately I use mine like a truck so I’m not worried about it looking like a show car.
