    Prefacing by saying that I have very little electrical experience and therefore need a bit of guidance as I plan on buying a harness from FBC.

    I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Off Road and recently bought used a Century Ultra Sport camper shell (which I think is just a cheaper version of a Leer 100R). The guy who sold me the shell didn't have any harness or leads hooked up to his truck. Including photos of the TAG fuse box that's installed in the camper. All I am hoping to achieve is for the camper's brake light to function, that's it.

    Can someone tell me (1) which FBC harness I need to purchase and if I need anything additional to make this work? Your help is much appreciated!

    There is a tag pigtail, that and a regular brake T will work. I may have connectors for the molex 6 way input but if I do they are white not black so that bothers me. Let me try to find you that piece.

    I think this is the guy.

    One other guy sent me his so I can integrate with the Oem lock harness via T, but I haven’t gotten started on that. For simple brake and ground you just marry that harness to the brake T w supplied heat shrink butt connectors once you’ve routed into the taillight cavity.

    Amazing. Thank you.

    So I need to purchase 6 prong harness from truckoutfittersplus and then the regular brake T from you?

    That’s how I see it.

    you can get fancier with a Deutsch flange to the bedside like I hope to someday. Or drill a hole. Or route through the cubby if you have one. Or stuff it through a crack and hope it doesn’t short. Then marry up behind the taillight. That’s the only part I can’t do for you, bare wire is easier to stuff. Unless you’re doing a 1” home then I could make it plug and play w an amp connector or something.

    it makes the most sense to just connect bare wires yourself. Mine will be labeled and the TAG stuff comes with a legend on colors and positions.

    To be fair, truck outfitters has various harnesses for dome and brake but I don’t see any plug and play options for Tacoma. Curt has plug and play hitch harnesses with a brake T but I haven’t seen them cheaper than what I have available.

    Hey, just received the brake t harness from you and the truck outfitters harness. Can I just splice the ground wire on the T harness with the ground ring on the main harness? Or do you suggest grounding to a bolt or frame of truck? If it doesn't matter either way, I'd rather just splice.

    For brake, the brake T ground seems sufficient. For brake and dome, it’s probably ok. For aux power sockets I’d do a ring terminal to frame ground. There is an accessible bolt above the driver rear wheel.

    @Puppypunter might have other ideas.

    @switch makes a cool fuse box where you can do power and ground inside the taillight.
