    Hello all,
So I recently have installed a higher output fuel pump for my 5vzfe Tacoma. The fuel pump is compatible with e85. Now my question is how do I tune this fuel pump for e85. I have a split second piggyback tuner. And my motor is supercharged. With the fuel pump since it is larger do I tune for less fuel or for more fuel? And I was told that with e85 you tune for more fuel 30% is what I was told. Now that seems to be very high to me so I would like to hear what everybody else thinks.

E85 is less energy dense than non ethanol gasoline. Typically requiring ~30% fuel for the same power. You don't need to tune for the larger pump, unless your fuel pressure goes to high, and the fuel trims are trying to pull a lot of fuel. You may however need larger fuel injectors to meet the demands of an E85 tune, if your current injectors don't have enough overhead.

Makes sense. Another issue I'm having is incredibly high idle. Not at first though. After it warms up and goes into closed loop the idle will climb up to 2500. And I can't figure out what the hell is causing it. If it was a vacuumed leak I would assume it would idle high all the time.

Has the problem cleared, since it is now March?
