2000 3.4 AT (ATF T-IV vs Dexron ll/III)

    I searched on here and didn't find an answer.

    My owners manual, Toyota factory service manual calls for Toyota dexron ll or lll ATF

    Could Toyota ATF T-lV be used? Yes or no, Why?

    I appreciate your knowledge and information.

    F: Kings SPC, R: 5100s+J59s. Custom armor.
    I've done two drain and fills with MaxLife ATF. Did the first one a few months ago, and the second 2 weeks ago. Roughly 150k on the transmission with original fluid. No issues after the drain and fills.

    Ive also used the Valvoline MaxLife ATF with no issues

    As stated, you could go with a different brand that calls for III.

    I find the Toyota stuff everywhere still -

    Got like 5-6 quarts of Toyota stuff left since it's used for your power steering as well.
