Just put the vectors on a few days ago and I couldn’t be more pleased! I went with the 17x8.5 -6mm and didn’t have to do any trimming. No rubbing with mild off roading so far. Tires are 285/70r17 KO2s.B2B12009-41C4-4E18-BC88-3BDAC9EA6828.jpg931D81BA-0558-403F-AAF5-21ECAE6F491B.jpg 495FF9FD-F58F-4EF4-9FAC-2F8D6E561058.jpg 452B089A-3F46-49EB-AAC6-E1080E2703A6.jpg

Still looking for anyone to comment on how these are holding up after a couple of years.....finish, corrosion, etc......they all look "pretty" when new. I want to know how they hold up after a few winters with the snow, salt, grime, etc. Are these painted or powder coated?

I’ve had mine for about 4 years now and I love them. Finish is still intact. I baby this thing and I have 285 tires so I have zero curb rash. I can make them look like new after a good wash and detail with a microfiber. I don’t live in a salty or snowy area so can’t exactly speak to that but they’ve seen a fair share of off-roading and snow from time to time.

Assuming your truck is lifted? I've got exact same wheels and offset and still had to trim a bit off the fender just behind the front wheels with only 265/70R17 Wildpeaks. Interested if you're fitting 285's w/o trimming anything.

I have these wheels and just succumbed to the lies of tirerack. They told me that they were hubcentric and didn't need centering rings for the 3rd gen Tacoma. The particular 8.5x17" wheels I got have 108mm bores and the Tacoma has 106.1mm hubs. Been chasing highway vibration for weeks and 2 roadforce rebalances w/ dismount. (Tirerack reimbursed for 1st rebalance) No improvements. Was about to blame it on the Falken Wildpeaks under warranty, but just needed 108 to 106mm centering rings. Amazing what 0.5 to 1mm of off-center mounting can cause in terms of steering wheel shake. Check the bore on your fuel vector wheels.. Hope this helps save someone's sanity!

NONE of the fuel vector 16" or 17" wheels appear to come in a 106.1mm bore, so everyone really needs centering rings. (Unless you get lucky or don't mind some wheel shake), or if you have 18x9" wheels.
