What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Got quoted for bilsteen 5100’s today. Couple questions, is there anything i should know before giving the green light on the install. Is this a reliable leveling kit? Will I need to upgrade any parts to accommodate these? I am novice to the truck world still so just want to be sure to cover my bases

 

This past weekend installed the anytime camera. It was really not that bad after watching some YouTube videos.

 

Stopped by the dealer to pick up new upper and lower radiator hoses, heater core hoses and a serpentine belt. Only 18k miles, but 6+ years old so might as well. I've got a 2023 TRD OR Lunar Rock on order due tentatively at the end of March, but I'm thinking about keeping the MGM instead.

Also, my RXT leaf packs arrived today.

I’ve found this to work perfect for led glare while backing up. Good quality product and received in only a couple days.

Since I drove my MGM 4Runner 240k miles and 15 years (before selling it to my son), I'm not the one to offer advice on upgrading a young truck. But I am loving my LR Tacoma!

I think so too. I was more referring to the fact that he didn't have them resting in the usual bed groove. Looked like he had rigged up some 2x4s to rise up the BamBed platform and give more storage space underneath

I suggest getting the spacer for the front LS strut and have installed at the same time. This will correct the "Taco lean" due to the battery and fuel tank being on the same side of the vehicle.

 

Too many lol, the first night. I got super confused with all the wiring and had to call it a night. Next morning figured the rest out.

 

Just got back from getting my OTT Tune done in Waco TX……..well worth the trip……..smooth acceleration, responsive throttle, no gear hunting at cruise, and got 1 MPG
The ECT button, is now the “fun” button…….

 

Didn’t even know about this, so you’re saying the truck leans towards the driver side because of all that being on the drivers side? What do I tell the people at the shop for that?

 

Great leveling kit…….
However , find a better shop…….$150 for 4 wheel alignment is high…….some Toyota dealers will do it for $100
And the install is high as well, in fact, install of shocks is not hard……it’s the Strut install that you’re really paying for.
