My rule/advice I’ve given people in the past is 5100’s, next step up is $5k for a proper mid travel setup, or take out a second mortgage and go all out with a full build.
Or get the shocks out and bring them by to use the McDonald’s hydraulic spring compressor we built out out the two of ours lol.

I'm picking up this setup tomorrow for hopefully less than the $1200 asking. Icon 2.5 extended travel shocks, Bilstein B8 UCAs, Icon 3-leaf progressive add a leaf and sway bar relocate.

Relocating your sway bar to the nearest dumpster is one of the best mid travel mods you can do for off road performance

How about on road? My taco is my daily, I drive probably 90/10 on road vs offroad.

It's so subjective that I tell everyone to just try it for themselves and see if they're comfortable with it. It doesn't take long to remove/install the swaybar so take it off, drive around a bit and then put it back on if you want.

700 springs in your case with the winch my man.

Just know that your truck will handle very differently. I normally take mine off on stock suspension when I’m hitting a trail because it makes a world of difference for ride quality. On road you want heavier springs to help with body roll, and those heavy springs like to soak up the bumps off road so it’s a bit of a win win

Ive been on that sway bar fence and I'm thinking it time to remove it. I like what EatSleepTacos said, give it a try and realistically its a few bolts to pull it off.
XPOTRPR You still have them #700lbs king coils rolling in your garage? Can i still get dibs on them if you dont throw them on you rig? I can offer skilled labor as trade and always bring beer!

I have the 700's on the truck now. I want to try swapping back to my 650's and do a re-valve at the same time.. just finding the time is rough. Need to plan it out for the downtime on the truck. and just toss the swaybar. I've been without mine for over 10 years now.

Does that make it sketchy driving on roads like back from payson on the 87?

I think if i swap out my 650lbs to some 700 on my 6112s the "sway" shouldnt be so bad. Just need to corner slower.

    Totally forgot about that hahahah

Ive been running no sway for about 75,000 miles, lifted the entire time, heavy ass rig, Go Fast camper and fully geared out basically at all times. Driving 4000+ miles per month constantly at 90+ mph, all over the mountains of Northern AZ, no issues at all. Ride quality was so immediately noticeable the first time I took it off I knew I wouldnt go back.

When the truck sways, just turn the wheel more. It feels weird but you get used to it. Sway bars are like training wheels.

If you have heavier springs it helps mitigate the squirrelyness but it also comes down to driving habits on the road as well. No sway bar I wouldn’t be hauling ass everywhere and weaving traffic.

Swaybar ditcher right here. Glad I did it.

I have experienced no negative side effects with my setup, although I do not drive aggressively in any sense of the word. Very tame, speed limit kind of guy. The truck is just too heavy to do anything else.

Offroad is much, much better. On road is still the same.

Curvy back roads are not an issue for me.

The best part is making 90 degree turns through intersections. The whole truck leans heavily to the outside, looking like its going to tip from an outsiders perspective. But inside? It feels like any other truck, leaning side to side.
