I have it in my tundra, but it aint worth it. If the wind kicks up from the side of the tent it’ll rock you all night. Also, I had to do some modding.

This is interesting to me, since Porsche has always supported rally/offroad projects, but very rarely is something offered from a big brand like this for a retail sale. The 911 Dakar hinted that they are going this direction, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this become more commonplace in the industry. For example, Toyota is starting to offer the TrailHunter package with a bunch of OEM Gear from the factory. (Imagine a TrailHunter Tundra with a Porsche RTT ha)

Someone please upload a photo with this RTT mounted, would love to see it mounted on something other than a Porsche lol. It looks like the IKamper/Roofnest Hardshell style, so I'm curious how this will even sell given the competition.

    Porsche RTT: 57.5" x 55"/ 125lbs - Roughly $5,269 USD ($4980 Euro)

    IKamper Sky Camp 3.0 MINI: 83" x 51" / 125lbs - Starting at roughly $3,699

    Roofnest Condor: 60″ x 48″ / 135lbs - Starting roughly $3,395

I'm just curious if Porsche is going to tap into truck and SUV sales (people simply looking for a RTT, not necessarily for a Porsche) or if this is mostly going to be seen on Porsche vehicles. For the price, it's like a fancier IKamper with Porsche badging, but I can't see any internal LED lighting, which I would sort of expect from Porsche, but maybe I just can't see it in the photos they've posted of it.

If it uses some proprietary mounting system, that's going to suck. Paying premium for something with less compatibility. IKampers are heavy but have years of R&D involved. Curious how long this has been in Porsche's plans, or if they collaborated with an existing brand behind the scenes.
