Are the wild peaks made in USA or China?

I have ran Toyo's / Nitto's (subsidiary of Toyo) on every vehicle I have had in the past decade (MT's & AT's on 4wd's, street tread on the cars), with the exception of 3 taco's since they were purchased new and couldn't justify replacing brand new tires. Once my current set wears out (probably another 25k miles), I will go put a set of Nitto Ridge Grappler's or Toyo Open Country RT's on. I have never had any issue what so ever with any of these set's, all have provided long life and have been quiet enough, in my opinion, for the given tread pattern.

I have a set of Wildpeaks on another rig and have been very disappointed with the inability to balance them well. One is so bad it's a spare only. I've had them road force balanced twice at two different shops but to no avail.

My son has a set on his F150 and no issues at all and wearing like iron. He has 36k on them and still 10/32 (E rated). I recently swapped out my stock Goodyear's with 2.5k on them and am trying something new - Nokian Outpost AT's in a 235/85r16. They have been fantastic on snow and while not quite the same as a dedicated winter tire, they have been very good on ice. I am sure much of that has to do with them being pizza cutters. As an added bonus they only weight just a hair over 41lbs and it would appear there is little to no MPG hit with my OR MT although it's a bit soon to tell as I've only had them for a week.

Found these tires on Amazon Maxxis 265 70 17 116T XL RAZR A/T $162.22 a tire. I like the aggressive tread and they seem to have good reviews.

I have really been enjoying my Toyo Open Country ATIII's. The first tire I had was Wildpeak AT3Ws and I made the mistake of buying them in SL. Blew a tire and lost confidence in them on a simple dirt road lol. After that went to Falken M/Ts in C Load and loved them but got loud fast. Sold them and now I am on my Toyos and they are my favorite so far. My 2c.

They are tough - that's why they get my vote! We have them on most of our vehicles - including 3 Toyota 4x4s: 2 Tacomas (2002 and 2019) and my wife's 22 4Runner Pro. We are all 3 off road a lot and the tire performs very well. I drive a ton (0ver 1K per week) and they perform very nice on the road as well.

You're right they haven't changed in a LONG time...like my haircut - flat top for 60 years - HAHAHA.

Same here - they last a long time as well - I'll get around 70K out of my current set (on my Tacoma).

I have the maxxis, I love them. Good wear, surprisingly quiet, and good traction on an off road.

I have General Grabber ATXs in 265/75/16. They’re great tires but E rated and I just hit 20K miles of driving on them and they’re all of a sudden starting to get real loud in the 25-40mph range. It’s pretty weird because they’ve always been very quiet for an aggressive AT.

I say that in this thread because I’ve seen a lot of people recommend the MT Baja boss all terrains and that’s what I’m going to go with next once my Grabbers wear out. Not that anyone here asked lol

I'd say Toyo AT3. I like BFG KO2s as well, those are very quiet for the long haul in my experience. GoodYear Duratracs are a good choice for snow traction and mud. I had the Falken AT3W P265/70-17, it was pretty good, but loud and I found it had poor turn-in in the snow, it just pushed for me, but also found that it needed less air that other tires.

I’ve run Wildpeaks, AT3, KO2, Duratrac, and Ridge Grappler on my trucks…..and have KM3 on my SXS. I just put Wildpeaks on my new truck. AT3 is a great tire though.

ive run both and would give them both pretty equal praise . I’ve also run general grabbers ..and BFG AT”s .
Ive also heard very good things about the new cooper at3’s . I really don’t think you can go to wrong with any of the big brands. All modern AT tires will do well at everything and not amazing at anything. I’d pick the one you like the looks of best and go with that . It really is splitting hairs when it comes to AT tires .
