My 2018 Toyota tacoma is very hard to steer and there is a brownish/blackish leak what part do I need to order and do I use a transmission fluid at the moment until it is repaired?

    Please help, thanks

Sounds like you have a leaking steering rack. Check the small reservoir between the windshield fluid tank and the coolant overflow tank in the front left quadrant of the engine bay (check the levels of those other two tanks while you’re there). If it’s low or nothing in there add some automatic transmission fluid (Dexron II or Dexron III) to the cold fill max line. Then take it to a shop to have your steering rack inspected.

I put in ATF yesterday and the steering is better now, the coolant seems low do I need to fill it up?
I live in a place where there is no shops so I have to do things myself, but there will be a mechanic coming next week I will get him to check it out, thanks

I generally like to keep my coolant level at about 3/4 to the max line after it comes up to temperature.
