Bilstein/Toyota Torque Discrepancy

    Mounting the 5160 on my 3rd gen 2018.

    Are we going with Toyota on this one? I'm assuming this is the correct service manual for my truck, but I downloaded it here, so who knows. From what I've read, the torque spec on the 2nd gen was indeed 72ft-lbf. Are the Bilstein directions outdated in that respect?

    Any time there's a conflict like this, I go with what the service manual says (Toyota should know their vehicle best, so they say).

    That said, lower shock bolts are not exactly something super-critical (not like cylinder head bolts would be). Assuming you're handy with a wrench, torque them to whatever feels good & tight.
