How do you like it so far? I almost picked one up the other day until I realized they had an ice cap pro coming in. Went for that instead.

So far I really like it. Its rides great on the interstate and was comfortable. I had a 500 mile drive to get it home.

Thanks. I really like the color with the bronze wheels. In person it looks a lot better than in pictures. I was worried since I had never seen one in person that I wouldn’t like them together. I really thought Lunar Rock was the best Trail Edition color but I really like the MGM color as well and pictures don’t translate as well as in person.

Got the windows and windshield tinted today. 15% in front, 50% on back since it has the frosted glass to match as closely to front as possible and 50% windshield.

Congratulations! Very nice truck. Was wondering when you received yours. Not long ago you were really convincing yourself to bail on the deal. Very curious to see your opinion once you actually got it rather than the scary echo chamber on here.

So far so good. I didn’t find that it gear hunted during my 500 mile drive home, which included some hilly areas. It was comfortable and rode pretty well, not luxury car level but very good for a truck. It does have an old school feel about it but it looks fantastic and hope the “old schoolness” of it results in a long life. The only thing I have noticed is that the used Tacomas I test drove didn’t have any lift and had the steps. Without any lift the side steps were actually in way and provided no utility, but even the small lift on the trail edition the steps may actually be useful. I will take it off road a couple times without them and determine if I should buy them.

I also haven’t experienced the gear hunting and took it on a maiden voyage first weekend racked up 2k miles. One thing I’ve experienced is using CarPlay and vehicle running the receiving caller gets a buzzing noise thet sounds like an electronic toothbrush so that is frustrating.. does yours or anyone else’s have this symptom? Dealership wouldn’t try to fix it

Congrats! And you are so right about the color - I don't understand why it looks so great in person but so blah in photos.

Great to hear. I love the old school feel of the truck too. I went with the OEM aluminum, plastic coated, second gen running boards. Mud flaps came as standard equipment on Canadian models. I personally liked the combination to help protect the lower body paint on the truck.

I found the running boards were not helpful for access/egress for me getting into or out of the truck at 5’-11”. My 9 year old son does tho. However, I’d still rather have the lower body paint protection.
