I am popping over again from the Tundra board where many of us are dealing with a Toyota recall on the OEM tonneau covers. The recall says to remove the covers immediately because they are at risk for flying off the truck on the highway. Of course, they neglect to tell us exactly what the technical issues or defective parts are. And provide no timeline for a fix so we wait for some "fix" even though the recall also requires dealers to remove and destroy these covers on unsold trucks.

It got me thinking that these Tundra folding covers look exactly like the ones used on Tacomas for many years. Has there ever been a recall of those here? Have any of you had a chance to look closely and compare the OEM Tacoma folding covers to the current ones on a 3rd gen Tundra? Just curious what the differences are, if any.
