I searched the interwebs and this forum for quite some time, even before purchasing my Prinsu rack and Baja Designs 40" Onx6. I could never find the direct answer to my question, "How do you mount the Onx6 to the Prinsu?" and "What brackets to use?"

Thus, this thread was created. I found several pictures but no specific answers to my very specific questions.

I fully 100% believe the Prinsu Design rack was made for a lightbar very similar (or exact) to the Baja Designs S8 model. I very firmly believe that any person who has mounted an Onx6 lightbar (or equivalent in size/weight) has fabricated a custom mount to their Prinsu rack.

This is how I was able to achieve the look I wanted and what parts I used to get there.

Now the Onx6 is quite different than the S8. The Onx6 utilizes a different mounting bracket where it uses TWO (2) bolts in the bracket instead of the ONE (1) as a pivot point. I believe this is to alleviate weight off the pivot point/bolt.

The Onx6 bracket is NOT a plug and play end all be all solution.

I have read on to find users have utilized the "CaliRaised" brackets.

Prinsu Designs also sells their own light bar brackets.

I utilized the Prinsu bracket and fabricated the Baja Designs Onx6 bracket to make the Onx6 work.

In the future I may look into having the bracket fully customized/fabricated as one piece. For now this frankenstein'd bracket will serve as my R&D/prototype.

I need this bracket for a 40” BD ONX6 onto a PRINSU RR. Did you ever get a chance to get the bracket made?

Can you make a bracket like the example I’m showing here so I can mount my ONX6 Baja 40” light on my Uptop Overland Alpha roof rack? I want the light bar to be lower. Thanks46E0EE88-70E2-47D4-8018-8C9F1878FA52.jpg6B8919AF-89A2-4B9F-A099-DD0F18AB6B16.jpg

Did you try flipping the bracket backwards? That’s how I mounted my XL80s in the same spot. If you tighten the bolt down enough you don’t need the rear bolt. Just an idea, not sure if it’ll work.
