    So I got my Tacoma with 50k miles with very little rust. I know the ideal is 0 rust but we do not live in a perfect world. What I’m wondering is what I should do to the few rust spots? Should I sand it then spray it? I just ordered 6 cans of film fluid.

    Best to wire wheel the affected rust areas, use a rust converter to paint the area. When dry go over it with a good black chassis paint. Not a big fan of fluid flim as it will wash away if you're in a wetter environment. Cosmoline RP-342 for far longer protection.
