I went a head and installed Firestone Ride Rites to assist my camper shell and camper build out. When I'm out traveling and have it loaded up, and I mean LOADED it rides fine but the engine struggles w/ the extra weight. When I'm home, unloaded, its a back breaker. Wondering if Sumos would be a better option. I can cut the foam to provide a slight gap for my stock leafs, if need be, and when loaded up it'll support the bed for short time.

Anyone ever use them with their 1st gen Reg/Ext cab with stock leafs?

Its a shot in the dark but I figured I'd ask.

I plan on putting them in my 96 within the next few months but i gotta fix horrible exhaust leak first. It also need new shocks too, so that first.
