    Preface:
Let me clearly identify that it not a hunting for gears problem.

I have had a number of manual transmission and this is a automatic which I have probably had more of.

My Tacoma is still low miles 22k and only ever serviced at the dealer however, now it feels like if I am accelerating at a low rpm it feels like a slipping clutch.

if you ever had a clutch on its way out you know exactly what I am referring to. If you have not - I’ll describe it as, the power I am giving it through pushing the pedal is getting lost for a few moments before it transfers into felt momentum increase.

Should I take it in and have the fluid checked for particles?

100% just take it to the dealer and get it documented.

They may check level or for codes. But at the very least its recorded and if it gets worse it can still be warrantied later.

    Trans is 5year 60,000 miles/100,000km.

It is not slipping. What you describe is torque converter management. Get OBDII app and you can see the whole picture. Better, get a tune.

No, I take a few long trips a year (1200 round trip) and my daily commute. I swap to winter wheels/tires for 5-6 months. (Stock wheels UV2 snow)

Low rpm acceleration? I assume you're at a low speed?
    Do you use D?
Try S3; does it go away?

If so, I'm inclined to agree with @Vlady; torque converter management. More specifically, flex lockup...
IMO, it's a phiniky shit 'feature'. By it's nature, it has to act like a spaz...causing premature wear on the TCC solenoid and related valvebody bore/plunger.

This is why I like using the ShiftSense Pro. In S3 and below, flex lockup is eliminated and keeps the low rpm acceleration to at least 1,500. By the time(speed-based) it shifts into S4, the engine rpm and transmission speed are at a place, it's a non-issue.

The dealer could not replicate. However, it feels better since picking it up.

Are shifting points adjustable through programing at the toyota dealership?

I used to reset adaptives on nearly all 3rd gen complaints. There's far fewer complaints since 2020 models.

They still arent perfect but much better than they used to be.

Nah, that wouldn't do anything. Learned values aren't reset by disconnecting the battery.

Ur right. But what about when using the jumper wire method on the OB2 connector to do the transmission fluid check. Cant that affect anything?
